This really was a 'Magnificent' holiday. So much was packed into it and nothing was too much trouble for our tour guide, Betty, to make it as enjoyable as possible. We saw and and did such a great variety of things - well done to Wendy Wu Tours for putting together this great itinerary. It has been a really memorable holiday.

This is a very engaging holiday with many different facets . We loved the Li river cruise and visits out to the countryside

I would highly recommend this trip to an amazing country. We benefitted from an excellent national guide and good local guides and saw all the main sights.

This was a very interesting tour and we covered a huge area and enjoyed a tremendous amount of activities, sites and entertainments. It gave us a real insight into modern China and how impressively it is developing into a super modern country whilst retaining traditional culture and values.
Because China is so vast the tour entailed a lot of travelling which could be tiring, but without which we would not have seen so much.
Special mention must be made of our National guide Jason. He was tremendous; managing a group which included a number of people with mobility issues. Jason was painstaking in ensuring everyone was looked after; nothing was too much trouble for him and he really made the holiday special for all of us. All the local guides were also very good, especially Grace in Shanghai who was lovely.

I have attended a few of the Wendy Wu online travel shows, which are always very inspiring and informative, and give the opportunity to have my questions answered. I decided to take advantage of the new China brochure launch offers to book an escorted tour, and found Arti to be extremely helpful in comparing and contrasting the tours I had shortlisted and checking prices for a range of options. I have now booked and am very much looking forward to my Magnificent China Tour, with Dubai Stopover.

Brilliant tour would recommend. Raymond excellent tour guide nothing to much trouble very informative along with Troy. Meals were good too much for me.

Simple online booking process

Professional experience with the member of staff who dealt with my booking query, who was very helpful.

Overall a good tour with two seats per person in coach.
Hotels: Good except the one in Chengdu. No aircon was at times hard to sleep as you couldn't open window in rooms and it was rather hot and airless.
Food: Plenty and tasty but no fish to speak of and no desert but just a slice of watermelon.
Guide: Penny was throughout excellent except in Xian, her hometown. There she made us dressed up with cheap chinese sort of shirts and a cheap fan and took us to the main street to stroll with the locals. All was OK until the following day when she told us that the "experience which we couldn't miss" was Y280/each! and she made us be part of the spectacle... it was not proper. She should have told us the short coach transfer and her fees BEFORE she said we couldn't miss it. It was disappointing and many of us weren't happy. The experience was definitely NOT worth the cost.

Mostly good but challenging to get anyone to explain the procedure and payment for the Manchester visa office not clear. Why isn't it the same as London? A cynic might says that southerners get a lot more support.
