The booking agent, Cheryl, was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all my questions about the trip we wanted to book and found the best flight options for us. She offered to ring back the following morning to give us overnight to think it over. The following morning she rang back and booked the holiday for us. Confirmation arrived by email within a few minutes.
Now looking forward to the trip!

good but required longer timescale; very rushed

Keith the representative we chatted with was very knowledgeable and friendly. Japan was a destination on our bucket list and he took us through the most appropriate trip for us. We are so excited to see and experience everything on the extensive itinerary . The free 2 night stay in Singapore on the return journey was an incerdible bonus.

It was a really enjoyable holiday. It was extremely varied and well organised. The group and our guide Mr Duc made the holiday.

Food was good and we ate in lots of different places. The acrobat show in Ho An was amazing.

Weather was not quite what we expected, it was hot in Singapore (this was an add on to the tour) and Saigon, it became cooler in Ho An and then turned cold in Hue, Hanoi and Halong Bay.

Halong Bay was spectacular but would have been better if it had been warm and sunny

Speedy, efficient and pleasant

The holiday was in the main really good and had some major highlights including:
Visiting the elephant sanctuary
The eco day out to the former mines
Singapore Gardens by the bay etc
James Bond island
Hell fire pass and train ride
Plus all the hotels were good and Cougan, our Malaysian guide was really good even though he continually tried to make us over eat!
Only complaint was the Mossy Forest visit that was in our opinion highly dangerous and could have easily ruined someone’s holiday.
Not so good was the flight to Phuket that was not met by our Thailand guide, Bennie. This was clearly a Wendy Woo mess up and I believe she was a late appointment to the role. One of our group had paid for roaming so rang your office and somehow things were sorted. It was a bit chaotic because the hotel arranged for us to visit Temple that for tired folk was a bit much!
In Singapore and Malaysia, the entire group were together in one vehicle but in Thailand, we were separated and in 2 minibuses. This was a weakness and meant our guide was disadvantaged and the group were not getting one set of messages.
One day of the Thailand tour included an unreasonably early start to catch a long train journey. We all as a group agreed to travel in the minibuses instead after breakfast It was hard going and probably the least memorable day of the tour. It was interesting to be so close to the Myanmar border as this was the road route. Why did we have to sign a form to cancel our train tickets? We would suggest a rethink of this part of the tour.
Finally, we paid a lot extra for premium economy on Cathy Pacific and it probably wasn’t really worth it. Also, we would have preferred direct flights to Singapore and back from Bangkok. Going via Hong Kong was really tedious and use of the Cathy Pacific lounge would have significantly improved the boredom especially as the flight back was delayed!
We had a great time but it could have been better hence we hope these comments will be helpful - after all we were the guinea pigs for this tour and with a bit of refinement, repeats will be excellent.

Not the cheapest on the market but well worth the money. National tour guides in each destination were capable and knowledgeable. Wonderful experiences. Did the Singapore extension too which was excellent.

Telephoned to make an appointment and was asked to email the request. Email responded to next day offering a date one week later. This took us beyond the cut-off date for a special offer. They kindly offered to extend the offer to the day of our meeting. We had done some homework so were fairly well prepared. We were disappointed to find the advertised offer of upgrade to business class flights one-way did not include the tour we were interested in (confusing advertising!). Nevertheless Julia helped us to choose flights and arrange for an extra night's stay. Our meeting was helpful.

The national tour guide David was excellent worked so hard to make all of our experiences brilliant. The best local Gide was Allen in Beijing but they all do a good job. We feel we saw the ‘real’ China and met some lovely local people.

Product :

Hotel not very helpful especially as one of our cases did not leave Heathrow and we needed some assistance. Everyone was very nice but they did not communicate between themselves or us. Breakfast was poor

I enjoyed the Around Cambodia tour and this was invariable due to our excellent tour guide (Bunvath Tes), His knowledge, enthusiasm and compassion really made this a memorable first visit to Cambodia.

I found the service pre-tour from Wendy Wu a bit lacklustre though. For example being booked on a flight to Hong Kong, 6 hours ahead then fly back to Phnom Pehn 5 hours ahead a bit of a pain (why not offer flights to Singapore or Bangkok)? Would have paid extra for business class but this didn’t seem to be an option and was not offered.

I spoke to Lisa who was very helpful when I asked her to extend the china experience to fly to Singapore . She organised the flights and tried to get accommodation but we were able to get it cheaper and she was fine with that.

Service rating :

I am 70 and my partner is 67 though we weren't the youngest. For us, it was too full on and we were exhausted. Too much unnecessary time was spent waiting in airports. The floating market on the Mekong never happened. It was NOT all inclusive and there was a lot of unexpected money spent making up lack of salary (tips in other words). Nevertheless, the tour of Vietnam and Cambodia fulfilled our expectations and we look back on it with pleasure.
